Great news from
Boot Drive HQ
WOODSTOCK — The Woodstock Democratic Town Committee’s annual Boot Drive smashed its records Nov. 4.
Organizers said: “We smashed our records today (Nov. 4) for both total pairs of boots donated (125-plus) and cash contributions ($1220). Thank you to our great team of volunteers who had everything covered and under control, and to our tremendous donors who made this success possible.”
More boots and cash contributions are out there so the new records will increase.
They added: “We were extremely heartened by the warm reception given by our hosts, the Therecka family and Woodstock Trading Post.  Their significant matching gift had a huge impact on our numbers. Thank you to Billy, D’Andre and Dante.”
They also thanked Linemaster Switch for its corporate gift of 20 pairs of boots (for the second consecutive year) and thanked volunteers: Kathy Barach, Sarah Bridgeman, Sean Conor, Deana Pajak, Jordan Stern, Jeff Danforth, Charlene and Tim Cutler, Gail Dickinson, Suzanne Kline, Joe Polulech and Jess Boose and Anne Miller, Chelsea French and Jill Bourbeau from TEEG.
In four years the Boot Drive has produced 346 pairs of warm, winter boots and $3,770 in cash contributions that TEEG uses to purchase additional boots.
The bar of success was raised afterward by D’Andre Therecka of the Woodstock Trading Post who vowed, “We’ll smash this record again next year!”
