PUTNAM — Jitendra “Jay” Sinha, Commercial Loan Officer, was recently promoted to vice president. Thomas A. Borner, president and CEO of Putnam Bank, said, “Jay’s dedication and passion for business excellence provides the right values we need to assist our customers with all their commercial financial needs. He exemplifies the best of community banking in his ability to network and build strong business partnerships.”
Sinha has an MBA from Long Island University in New York.
 He also holds a bachelor’s of law degree from Patna University in India.
Sinha has an extensive community outreach in numerous charitable and business organizations, which has won him many awards including the Chamber’s “Civic Achievement” and “Business Leader of the Year” awards.
 Sinha is a member of the Putnam Bank Board of Directors; served as the chairman of the Board of Directors for the Northeast District Department of Health; is a member of Northeastern Chamber of Commerce and previously served as president, a member of the Putnam Rotary Club and Putnam Rotary Foundation as well as its past president.
Sinha was a selectman for the Town of Putnam from 2005-2011. 
He also was previously a member of the Board of Directors for Day Kimball Hospital where he served on various committees including Finance and Investment.

4-H Fair
BROOKLYN --- The Windham County 4-H Fair  will be held Aug 1, 2, 3 at the Brooklyn fairgrounds.  Admission is $1 per car. Livestock shows on Saturday include dairy, beef, sheep, rabbits, chickens.   Open Gymkhana horse show Sat afternoon. Arts and crafts and home show all weekend.  Public invited.

PUTNAM --- The town of Putnam presents the Main Street Car Cruise from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cruise includes cars, motorcycle stuntman, rolling burnouts, Diesel Truck tug-of-war, jet-ski demonstrations, a Dyno-trailer.
