Car vs. house
PUTNAM — April 6 a River Road man was charged with three charges related to a car vs. house accident that occurred Jan. 23 at 11 Arthur Street.
Patrick Yargeau, 27, of 450 River Road, Putnam, turned himself in based on an active arrest warrant issued by Danielson Superior Court.
Charges included: Operating under the influence, reckless driving, second-degree reckless .

Drug bust
PUTNAM — April 6 a Van den Noort Street resident was arrested on several drug charges after the Putnam Police Department served a narcotics-related search and seizure warrant at 29 Van den Noort St., Apt. 4. Arrested was Dominique Gremo, 29, of that address. Charges are: Possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of narcotics within 1500 feet of a school, possession of narcotics with intent to sell within 1500 feet of a school and three counts of risk of injury to a minor. The Putnam Police Department asks that anyone with information regarding the sale of illicit drugs within the Putnam Special Services District call the Putnam Police Department at 860-928-6565 or the Anonymous Crime Tips Hotline 860-963-0000.

to honor Hull
PUTNAM — The Putnam Board of Education is pleased to invite parents, district staff members and Putnam community members to attend our board meeting at 7 p.m. April 21 at the Putnam Middle School Media Center (on the second floor) to help honor Superintendent William Hull who was recently honored with the UConn Neag School of Education Superintendent of the Year Award. 
March 28 at UConn Hull was presented with the Superintendent of the Year Award by Dr. Richard Schwab who serves as the Dean of the Neag School of Education. 
The Putnam Board of Education, as part of our monthly Pride of Putnam  Awards, will host a brief reception with light refreshments for Hull to allow community members the opportunity to hear about Hull’s work and our school district’s accomplishment.
