Arc launches appeal
The Arc Quinebaug Valley has launched its 2013 Giving Appeal: “Strengthening Families and Community – A LIFELINE of Hope For Individuals and Families with Life-Affecting Disabilities.”
Ron and Donna Coderre of Putnam will again lead the campaign as general chairpersons. Last year the couple led the campaign for the first time and was moved by the generosity of the community in its support of The Arc and its programs. Well known as community volunteers for years throughout Northeastern Connecticut, they are anxious to assist once again with The Arc’s philanthropic endeavors. For more info call: 774-2827.
“As general chairpersons last year we attended a variety of programs and functions at The Arc.  We were moved by the spirit and commitment of the participants and staff.  It’s comforting to know that our area is fortunate to have quality programs to care for the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities,” said Mr. and Mrs. Coderre.
Joining Mr. and Mrs. Coderre is a team of community volunteers on the Giving Appeal Committee. Members who have volunteered to assist The Arc’s fund-raising effort are Warren Scholl, president/CEO of CorePlus Federal Credit Union, Meg Popiak and Elizabeth Zachow of CorePlus, Ronald Robinson, retired from Rogers Corporation, Board Members Joshua Peach, Honora Butts and Lorraine LaGarde and Misty Bennett, Staff Giving chairperson.
The Giving Appeal will allow The Arc to maintain and improve its many programs.
