Last week Suthod Young and teammate Dan Gagnon lead the team to a commanding victory with a final score of 90 to 76 overcoming the leading scorer Joey Saponano’s game high 26 points. Thursday night, Brandon Kress lead all scorers in the teams second victory with 21 points and helped his team remain undefeated in league standings. Following Kress’s stellar performance, Dan Vasbinder, Alvin Durrette, Travis Godley, and Jordan Coty put on a dominating performance leading their team to a 68-58 victory and remain undefeated. Dan Vasbinder had a game high 18 points and is tied for the leading scorer.

LEWISTON, Maine — Corey A. Gringras of Eastford graduated from Bates College. He was also named to the winter semester dean’s list at Bates College. A rhetoric major, he is a 2009 graduate of Pomfret School. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Brian M. Gingras of Eastford. His undergraduate activities include: four-year member of the golf team and co-host of a weekly talk show on Bates radio station, WRBC. He was also a member of the Senior Class Gift Commmittee.

OMAHA, Neb. --- Bryant Gaudreau of Dayville, a freshman College of Nursing student at Creighton University, was named to the fall Dean’s List for the 2012-2013 academic year.

PLYMOUTH, N.H. --- Kaitlyn Tedeschi of Pascoag, has been named to the Plymouth State University Dean’s List for the fall 2012 semester.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. --- Mitchell Schneider, a sophomore music major from Pomfret, was named to the Trevecca Nazarene University Fall 2012 Dean’s List. Persons on this list achieved a minimum 3.5 grade point average for the semester, and it recognizes the hard work and dedication of those students.

TO AVOID INTEREST CHARGES, MAIL MUST BE POSTMARKED NO LATER THAN AUGUST 1, 2013
Payments made after August 1ST 2013, will be subject to an interest charge of 3% (1.5% per month) or $2.00 minimum per Town and $2.00 per Special Service District, East Putnam Fire District and West Putnam District (where applicable), whichever is higher, according to Connecticut State Statute, Sec. 12-146.
Online payments can be made on current Grand List bills at the Town of Putnam website - www.putnamct.us after July 1, 2013.

NOTICE OF
 PUBLIC HEARING
The Putnam WPCA will meet in the Pempek Conference Room, Putnam Town Hall, 2nd Floor, 126 Church Street, Putnam, Connecticut, on July 10, 2013, at 6:00 p.m. for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed project consisting of $4 million of improvements to the Town sewer system, including upgrades to the system’s ten pumping stations.  Following the public hearing, the WPCA is expected to consider and act upon a resolution entitled “RESOLUTION OF THE WPCA OF THE TOWN OF PUTNAM APPROVING THE PLANNING, ACQUISITION AND CONSTRUCTION OF IMPROVEMENTS TO THE TOWN OF PUTNAM SEWER SYSTEM”.
A copy of said proposed resolution is on file to public inspection at the office of the Putnam Town Clerk, and a copy of the plans and specifications is on file open to public inspection at the Office of the Putnam Water Pollution Control Authority.
