Day 1 Rosh Hashanah, Sat. Sept 16 at the synagogue, Preliminary Service, 9:15 a.m., Service begins, 9:30 a.m.
Day 2 Rosh Hashanah, Sun. Sept. 17, Outdoor walking service along the Riverwalk. Meet at the synagogue at 9:30. Weather permitting. (If rain, indoor services); Outdoor Tashlich & Shofar service 4 p.m. (Shofar indoors if rain)
Yom Kippur
Kol Nidre, Sun. Sept. 24, Cello selections 6 p.m., Services 6:30
Yom Kippur Services Mon. Sept. 25 at the synagogue; Preliminary Service 9:15; Service begins 9:30 a.m.; Concluding Service, 5:15 p.m.;  Break-The-Fast 7:35PM at the synagogue.

Free concert set for Sept. 24 at Roseland Cottage
WOODSTOCK — The St. Luke’s Steel Band will perform a free concert of Caribbean music from 2 to 3 p.m. Sept. 24 at Roseland Cottage.
Audience members are encouraged to bring a picnic and purchase dessert from Main Street Gelato, which will be on site.
This performance is sponsored by The Performing Arts of Northeast Connecticut, The Three Cs, and Historic New England.
St. Luke’s Steel Band was started when New Haven’s historic St. Luke’s Church purchased a set of used steel pans in 1999. The group includes musicians from the West Indies, Antigua, Barbados, Bermuda, Grenada, Jamaica, Montserrat, Nevis, Trinidad and Tobago.

Putnam Senior Forum to focus
on probate and Alzheimer's issues
PUTNAM — The Town of Putnam’s Commission on Aging will host a Senior Forum from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 3 at the Municipal Complex. It’s open to anyone age 50 and over.
Relevant topics of Probate and Alzheimer issues will be covered during two different sessions.
Probate Judge Gabbi Labonte will offer a session on probate situations at 5:30.
The Alzheimer’s Association, Connecticut Chapter will answer questions regarding Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia and will have some resource information on hand at the 6:30 session.
Attendees are invited to meet in the Community Room at 5:25 as the monthly Commission on Aging meeting wraps up, or head straight into Conference Room 109 to settle in for the first session. There will be snacks available in the Community Room. No registration is required.
