PUTNAM --- Shawn McNerney has been promoted to the position of Executive  vice president and chief lending officer of The Citizens National Bank.   As chief lending officer, he directs and controls all lending activities for Citizens National.  Mr. McNerney has been employed in the banking field since 1988, and joined the bank in March 2009.  He is a graduate of the State University of New York at Oswego. He is a strong community supporter and is a member of the Putnam Rotary Club and the Putnam Knights of Columbus.  He is a board director on the Woodstock Academy Foundation and was recently elected to the Board of Directors of Day Kimball Healthcare.  He, his wife and children live in Woodstock.

PUTNAM — The Living Faith United Methodist Church on Grove Street will hold Maundy Thursday services at 7 p.m. Good Friday Cantata, Shadow of the Cross, will be held at 6:30 p.m. March 29. Sunday School will be at 9:30 a.m. March 31 and the Easter worship service will be at 10:45 a.m. March 31.

PUTNAM --- The Putnam Middle School Parent Advisory Group will be hosting a "Spring Fling" from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the school. Games, face painting, Kiddie games, cake walk and prizes. You can purchase tickets that day.

Chicken Dinner
POMFRET --- The 7th annual Chicken Cordon Bleu Dinner and silent Auction to benefit the American Cancer society Relay For Life will be held at the Pomfret Community School. $20 for adults; $10 for kids under 10 and kids 4 and younger admitted free. 974-1202.

Woodstock services
WOODSTOCK — The First Congregational Church, UCC, of Woodstock on Woodstock Hill hold its Maundy Thursday Service at 7:30 p.m. A Good Friday Vigil will be held from 9 p.m. March 28 through 3 p.m. March 29.
Many Woodstock churches will take part in the Easter Sunrise Service will be held at 6 a.m. in the Woodstock Academy parking lot.
The First Congregational Church, UCC, of Woodstock will hold its traditional Easter service at 10 a.m. at the church on Woodstock Hill.
The South Woodstock Baptist Church will hold its traditional Easter Service at 10:30 a.m. at the church on Roseland Park Road.

Pomfret services
POMFRET — The First Congregational Church of Pomfret will hold Maundy Thursday Services at 7 p.m. Easter Sunrise services will be held at 6:30 a.m. March 31 at the Booth Family Farm, 549 Wolf Den Road, Brooklyn. The Easter celebration worship service will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the church in Pomfret.

Eastford services
EASTFORD — The Congregational Church of Eastford and the Eastford Baptist Church will hold a Community good Friday Service at 7 p.m. March 29 at the Congregational Church of Eastford, 8 Church Road.
