THOMPSON — A Massachusetts man was arrested for drug charges March 10.
Jared Gruber, 18, of Hull, Mass., was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell after he was stopped on I-395 in Thompson.
Members of the Troop D Quality of Life Task Force stopped the vehicle on a motor vehicle violation.  During the stop, K9 Dutch, a Dutch Shepherd, alerted to the presence of narcotics. Troopers found 125 grams of concentrated THC bulk packaged for sale that had a street value of about $3,000.
Members of the Connecticut State Police are committed to combating drug activity in the “Quiet Corner” and anyone with information regarding the illegal sale of narcotics are encouraged to call the Troop D QLTF anonymous Tips Hotline at 860-779-4950.
