Drug arrest
KILLINGLY — A Brooklyn man was arrested on heroin charges after a traffic stop in Killingly Sept. 3.
Brian Pomposelli, 30, of Tripp Hallow Road was charged with possession of heroin.
The Troop D Quality of Life Task Force was patrolling the Attawaugan and Ballouville sections in response to complaints by concerned citizens. They saw a Subaru Forester heading west on Ballouville Road commit a traffic violation.  Troopers stopped the vehicle as it turned onto I-395 via exit 94 in Killingly and interviewed the driver, Pomposelli, who allowed police to search the car. Troopers found about 30 bags of heroin hidden in the dashboard.

PUTNAM — A Putnam woman was arrested after Putnam Police said she left the scene of an accident on South Main Street.
Aug. 31, shortly after 10 p.m. police went to a single car versus a utility pole report. Officers found the vehicle had left the scene and the pole snapped off at the base with the top portion being suspended in the air by the wires.
Officers followed the fluid trail left by the vehicle to Cumberland Farms in Putnam. 
The operator of the vehicle, Tina Lance, 43 Mill St., was charged with evading responsibility, operating under the influence and failure to maintain lane.
No injuries were reported.
