DAYVILLE --- Recently 103 residents and patients of Westview Health Care Center were delighted to receive “Be Happy” bouquets filled with plants and flowers compliments of Teleflora and local florist Lilium of Danielson and Putnam during the 13th annual national “Make Someone Smile” community outreach weeklong campaign initiative.
Teleflora’s program has grown into the floral industry’s most successful initiative in North America. Last year, Teleflora units delivered more than 25,000 floral arrangements involving more than 1,000 florists who donated their time.
Sari Elston-Trzepacz, Connecticut Teleflora Unit Board Member and Owner/Designer of Lilium Florist for 35 years selected Westview to be one of the beneficiaries of smiles and truly delivered spontaneous joy.
“It was such a surprise”, stated Westview resident Evelyn Fairfield. “Receiving flowers is always so nice and certainly brings a smile to my face. It is wonderful to be remembered.”
Administrator David T. Panteleakos said, “We are grateful to be the recipients of such an uplifting initiative. Teleflora and Lilium Florist should be commended for their incredible kindness and good will.”
