Brighter Holiday
The holidays will be brighter for children in the United Services Domestic Violence Program thanks to a $1,000 donation from HopeLine from Verizon Wireless. The funds will be used for parents in the program to purchase holiday gifts for their children. Domestic Violence Program Manager Julie Hoagland helped Intensive Services Division Director Heather Victoria to top their holiday chalk tree on the newly paved driveway at one of the agency’s local shelters. Donations
CNB, a division of bankESB, collected 399 pairs of pajamas and 40 pairs of slippers in it's annual collection. The clothing was distributed to five local schools (Putnam, Thompson, Woodstock, Brooklyn and Killingly - the bank's branch towns). Branch Manager Monique L. Mailloux said "First and foremost we would like to be sure that our customers get the recognition for these numbers! Without the outpouring of support shown from them years after year, this drive would not be as successful as it is!. So with that being said, a huge THANK YOU to all of our customers!" This is the sixth year for the pj drive. Linda Lemmon photo.
