The Electors and Citizens qualified to vote in the Town Meeting of the Town of Putnam, Connecticut, are hereby notified and warned that a Town Meeting of said Town will be held at the Putnam Town Hall Selectmen Chambers, 126 Church Street, Putnam, Connecticut on Monday, May 20, 2013, at 7:30 o’clock in the evening for the following purposes:
1.  To choose a moderator for said meeting.
 2.  To determine the wishes of those present and eligible to vote at Town Meeting of the Town of Putnam upon the following proposed Resolution:
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Meeting of the Town of Putnam that the proposed dog park located at 18 Kennedy Drive shall be designated as “Putnam Lions Memorial Dog Park”.  Site plan is available for review at the Mayor’s Office during normal business hours.

Municipal Service Awards
The legal voters and citizens qualified to vote in Town Meeting of the Town of Pomfret are hereby warned to meet at the Pomfret First Congregational Church, 13 Church Road, Pomfret, Connecticut on Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at 7:00 P.M. to act upon the following articles:
Article 1:    To choose a Moderator for said meeting.
Article 2:    To see if the Town will consider and act upon the following resolution:  “Resolved” that the Board of Selectmen is hereby authorized and empowered to enter into an agreement with the Commissioner of Transportation and the Office of Policy and Management, State of Connecticut, for the expenditure of all Highway funds under the provisions of Chapter 240 and the expenditure of all Local Capital Improvement Funds under the provisions of Chapter 7-536, CT General Statutes, for fiscal year beginning July 1, 2013.
Article 3:    To see if the Town will consider and adopt the Five Year Local Capital Improvement Plan for fiscal year 2013 – 2014 as proposed by the Board of Selectmen.
Article 4:    To hear and act upon the report of the Selectmen, Town Treasurer, Treasurer of the Local School Fund, and Board of Education, as published by the Board of Finance, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2012.    
Article 5:    To see if the Town will accept the following cemetery funds for perpetual care:  Abington Cemetery Association-Joseph Linwood Mitchell, Grave #1027 and #1028 deTallyrand Annex, $200.00; Helena Mitchell, Grave #1029 and #1030 deTallyrand Annex, $200.00; Linwood and Helena Mitchell, Grave #1031 deTallyrand Annex, $100.00; and James and Nancy Dougherty, Grave #437 deTallyrand Annex, $100.00
Article 8:    To see if the Town will adopt a total appropriation in the amount of $12,131,486 for the 2013-2014 fiscal year budget with $ 2,427,684 of said amount to be the General Government Appropriation and $ 9,703,802 of said amount to be the Board of Education Appropriation, the same to be funded by estimated revenues as recommended by the Board of Finance    
Article 9 :To do any other business proper to come before said meeting.

COLCHESTER, Vt. --- Saint Michael’s College student Stephanie Lewis, daughter of Kathleen and Stephen Lewis of Thompson, is studying abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina at Universidad de Belgrano for the spring 2013 semester. Lewis, a senior English major, graduated from Tourtellotte Memorial High School before coming to Saint Michael’s.
