Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Stuart C. MacGillivray, son of Virginia C. Shumaker of Rayne, La., and Stuart C. MacGillivray, Sr of Woodstock, ,along with 5, 500 Sailors and Marines assigned to the Enterprise Carrier Strike Group (CSG) recently arrived in Norfolk, Va, following seven-and-a-half-month deployment supporting operations in the Mediterranean and the Arabian Seas. MacGillivray is a 1995 graduate of South High School of Worcester, Mass. and joined the Navy in February 2003.

Specifications are available at the Putnam Recreation Department, 126 Church St., Putnam, CT 06260, Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Bids will be accepted at the Recreation Department until Monday June 24, 2013 at 12:00 noon.

E. PUTNAM — The Putnam Tax Collector’s Office announced that starting in July the Town of Putnam Revenue Office will begin collecting taxes for the East Putnam Fire District. Town and District taxes will be issued on a single bill, showing the breakdown of separate amounts due. Fire District tax amounts will be due only during July, with town tax amounts still due in one or two installments, as applicable. Payments will be accepted online at: www.putnamct.us; by mail or at the Town Hall. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call the town Tax Collector’s Office at: 860-963-6806.
