Bead Challenge
PUTNAM --- The Flying Carpet Studio is hosting a Valentine Bead Challenge and Auction to benefit the Northeast Cultural Alliance. 12 local Artists signed on to create a piece of art to donate to the auction. Voting begins Feb. 1. A reception for artists and patrons is at 4 p.m. Feb. 10.

Quilt Display

PUTNAM --- Yet another annual event is taking shape in downtown Putnam, as the 2nd annual FIRE & ICE Event has been scheduled Valentine's Day weekend. We would like to showcase Putnam as a beautiful romantic downtown by lining the sidewalks with ice sculptures, lanterns, luminarias, and white lights. Couple is
engaged
GLASTONBURY — Bill and Nicki Campbell of Glastonbury are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jacqueline, to Michael Paglione, son of Jeff and MaryAnn Paglione of Putnam.
The couple met and fell in love while studying at the University of Connecticut, Schools of Fine Art and Music.
Michael asked for Jacqueline’s hand in marriage while the couple were vacationing at Walt Disney World.
A late 2013 wedding is planned.

PUTNAM —  Kelli Ann O’Brien of Putnam graduated from Eastern State University, December 2012.  She earned a bachelor’s degree. She majored in environmental earth science with a minor in geographic information systems.  She is 2009 graduate of Putnam High School.  She will be walking the stage with the rest of her classmates in May of 2013.
