Graduates

COLUMBUS, Ga. — Army Pfc. Joshua W. Key has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning. Key is the son of Amy and Carlo Key of Putnam. He is a 2008 graduate of Putnam High School.

During the nine weeks of training, the soldier received training in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, and Army history, core values and traditions.  Additional training included development of basic combat skills and battlefield operations and tactics, and experiencing use of various weapons and weapons defenses available to the infantry crewman.

COLUMBUS, Ga. — Army National Guard Pvt. Scott E. Mutchler has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning. Mutchler is the son of Paulette Blagburn of Putnam, and Karl Mutchler of Deerfield, Mass. 

He is a 2011 graduate of Woodstock Academy.
