Bottle Collection
DAYVILLE ---  Pet Pals Northeast will be collecting redeemable bottles and cans to help homeless and needy animals from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Wibberley Tire, junction of routes 12 and 101. Food Drive
PUTNAM --- There will be a food drive for northeastern Connecticut’s many needy people from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Cargill Council 64 Knights of Columbus Hall on Providence Street. Please bring your non-perishable food items and tax-deductible monetary donations, to help your neighbors in need. If you can’t get there in person, then please mail your check now, made out to “Project Northeast,” to Fr. Richard Archambault, Director, Project Northeast, 81 Church Street, Putnam, CT 06260.
 
Fund-raiser Run
 EASTFORD --- Nine-year-old Kenny Botting of Eastford underwent major brain surgery Sept. 29 and to support the family, the Eastford Recreation Commission and the Town of Eastford are sponsoring “Fun Run for Kenny” at noon at Eastford Elementary School.
