PUTNAM --- The Congregational Church of Putnam, downtown, will hold a Winter Tag Sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Donations of sellable items accepted. Proceeds shared with community charities. 942-4205.
 
Documentary
PUTNAM --- The Theatre of Northeastern Connecticut at the Bradley Playhouse will present the Connecticut screening of the documentary film, “I am Big Bird: The Caroll Spinney Story,” at 7 p.m. All seats are $20. 860-928-7887. WILLIMANTIC --- The Willimantic Orchestra, a not-for-profit community orchestra, will present  its free Winter Concert at 3 p.m. at Shafer Auditorium at ECSU.  This will be the world premiere of “The Lamplighters of Ventimiglia” by David Maker, local musician/educator/composer. Fund-raiser Breakfast
PUTNAM --- The Putnam High School Music Association will host an all-you-can-eat buffet breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church. KILLINGLY --- The Killingly Historical Society will be hosting a program presented by Sue Reich on quilts at 1:30 p.m. at the center at 196 Main St. Reich has a quilt made in 1830 with the name of Nathaniel Williams attached from Killingly.
