The Town of Pomfret approved an “Ordinance Establishing A Pomfret Commission on Aging” to replace an Ordinance Establishing a Senior Advocate Commission as adopted at a Special Town Meeting dated March 22,2012.  Said ordinance was approved at the Annual Town Meeting June 7, 2017 and shall become effective June 30th or fifteen (15) days after its publication in a newspaper having a general circulation in the Town of Pomfret.  A copy of the Ordinance is on file with the Pomfret Town Clerk, 5 Haven Rd, Pomfret, CT.

The Town of Putnam Zoning Commission will hold a meeting on June 21, 2017, at 7:00 P.M. at the Putnam Middle School Cafeteria located at 35 Wicker Street, a.k.a  Israel Putnam Way, Putnam CT.  A public hearing will be held on the following:

UPDATE ON DOCKET # 2017-02
Docket #2017-02: Rawson Materials-Jeff Rawson — Request for a Special Permit for earth removal in accordance with Section 304, Table III-1. “Schedule of Uses and Districts” and Section 607 “Excavation” of the Town of Putnam Zoning Regulations.  The earth removal will consist of 2 Phases with 43,000 cubic yards of gravel to be removed.  Property is located at 38 & 52 Cady Road, Town Assessor’s Map 34, Lots 77 & 78, Zoned AG-2.  APPLICATION WITHDRAWN BY APPLICANT ON JUNE 7, 2017.
