WORCESTER — Two local students received their master’s degrees at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute commencement May 10, 2018: Joseph Gaone of N. Grosvenordale was awarded a doctor of philosophy degree in mathematical sciences; Kathleen Kay of Pascoag was awarded a master of science degree in applied mathematics.

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Two local students were named to the Southern New Hampshire University’s winter 2018 President’s List: Sydney Blais of Pascoag and Ryan Verrilli of Pomfret Center.

WILLIMANTIC — Tracy Johns ’18 of Woodstock was recently inducted into the Eastern Connecticut State University chapter of Phi Alpha, the national social work honor society.

WILLIMANTIC — A group of Eastern Connecticut State University students were honored at the annual Environmental Earth Science (EES) Department’s awards ceremony: Jeffrey Fontaine ’18 of Dayville, who majors in Environmental Earth Science, was presented with the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and the Geomorphology Research Recognition Awards.
