Fun Runs
W. THOMPSON --- The long-standing 5K summer fun runs, founded originally by Bobby Mayer, takes place every Wednesday until mid-September. Combination of rough pavement and gravel roads. Free. Park and meet at the Ravenelle Rd parking lot. Runners will walk toward the starting line from the lot around 6 and the run will start promptly at 6:15. Collaborative Event
WOODSTOCK --- Artists of The Last Green Valley, a Collaborative Event will be presented from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 24, and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 25 and 26 at Taylor Brooke Winery. Enjoy diverse artists’ creations. Some proceeds from artist’s registration fees will be donated to The Last Green Valley to aid their conservation efforts. Fund-raiser
DANIELSON --- The Access Community Action Agency announced that Logee’s Greenhouses will hold its 3rd Annual Summer Solstice Celebration from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Rain or shine. Benefits Access on North Street in Danielson. Local artisans and restaurants will be showcasing their goods, including two micro-brewery tastings, with nature garden activities and live music.
 
Victorian Bazaar
WILLIMANTIC --- The Willimantic Camp Meeting Association’s 107th Victorian Bazaar will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Rt. 32 south, 1 mile south of Frog Bridge. Benefits maintenance for several historical rental cottages, a port-a-potty for the playground/pond area, support for missionaries and many other activities.

Canterbury Parade
CANTERBURY --- The Canterbury 4th of July Parade starts with lineups at 9 a.m. at the Baldwin School on Rt. 14 and step off at 10. Family Fun Event follows at the Town Hall.  The Parade Committee is looking for vendors for the event (11 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and there is no charge for the vendors. 860-546-9821.
 
Jamboree
E. WOODSTOCK --- The 60th annual Jamboree will be held on the East Woodstock Common.  The Book Tent, Attic Treasures and Coffee & Donuts will be available beginning at 9 a.m.  Other booths will be open by 11..  Final activities will take place at 5:30 p.m.  Register for Horseshoes at 11 a.m., Chicken BBQ begins at 11:30 and lasts until the last bite is gone.  The Parade steps off at 1 p.m.  Live entertainment, food booths,  games and more.  Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy a Norman Rockwell Fourth.  Free parking and admission.

POMFRET --- The Wyndham Land Trust will present a Civil War reenactment July 9 and 10 at the Aicher Preserve. 
 
Acorn Adventures
LEBANON ---  The LGV Ranger Marcy’s July Acorn Adventures will include present an historic walk from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at Lebanon Historical Society Museum on Rt. 87: “Lebanon CT.Celebrate Independence!” Walk in George Washington’s footsteps as we march, and then tell what we know & like about the 4th of July. The museum invites us for a FREE visit, with a children’s room filled with historic outfits, a tent to pitch, a toy musket to shoot and more.
