WATERFORD — Charter Oak Federal Credit Union opened its new Branch and Headquarters in Waterford June 16, the credit union new opportunities for growth in eastern Connecticut and expanding its branch network to 14 across New London and Windham counties.
“This building represents a new era of growth for Charter Oak,” said Brian A. Orenstein, Charter Oak’s Chief Executive Officer. “And it will serve as an important symbol of our strength and our service to our members for many years to come,” he said.
Charter Oak’s grand opening was celebrated by Governor Dannel P. Malloy, U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal, local elected officials, business leaders, and credit union members. The grand-opening celebration was followed by the official opening of Charter Oak’s new state-of-the-art branch inside its headquarters complex. The opening of the new Branch and Headquarters also coincides with Charter Oak’s 75th anniversary year.
Charter Oak has a local branch in Dayville and one in Putnam.
