With the 2015 flu season soon to begin, Day Kimball Healthcare is offering adult influenza and pneumonia immunization clinics at community locations throughout Northeast Connecticut. The clinics are open to anyone 18 years old or older and will begin September 28. Clinic dates and locations will continue to be added throughout the flu season; visit daykimball.org/events for the most up to date list.

The cost for the immunizations is $45 for the flu vaccine, $60 for the pneumonia vaccine, or $70 for both flu and pneumonia vaccines together. This cost is covered under Medicare Part B and Blue Cross/Blue Shield; insurance card must be presented for verification. Those with other types of insurance coverage will need to pay out of pocket, but may be eligible for reimbursement from their insurance company. Reimbursement request forms will be made available at each clinic.  For cash payments, the exact amount is necessary. Checks will also be accepted. Community members are encouraged to wear short sleeves when coming to the flu clinics for ease in administering the immunizations.
