KILLINGLY — A Killingly man was arrested on drug charges April 1 after vehicle was stopped in Hampton. Brandon Stevenson, 29, of Wyndham Landing, was charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with intent to sell, speeding and possession of a facsimile firearm. The arrest came after a member of the Troop D – Quality of Life Task Force was conducting uniformed patrol on Rt. 6. The trooper clocked the car at 66 in a 50 mph zone. Stevenson admitted to having heroin, a gun and a large sum of money in the car and he allowed a search of the car. Troopers found two stacks of heroin (200 bags) in the operator’s pants pocket, approximately $1,400 and a black semi-automatic style facsimile firearm under the front passenger seat.
