Day of Prayer
POMFRET --- A National Day of Prayer will be held at noon on the lawn of the Pomfret Congregational Church; at 6 p.m. at the Crossway Church in E. Putnam; at 6 p.m. at the Gazebo across from Thompson Town Hall; and at 6:30 p.m. the  South Woodstock Common. Events are approximately 60 minutes. May bring chairs. 
 
Spring Play
POMFRET --- The Pomfret School theatre Department will present its spring play, “Songs of Heroes,” by Alex Finley, Pomfret School Class of 2015, at 7 p.m. May 7, May 8 and May 9 in the Hard Auditorium. Free. All welcome.

Beautification Day
PUTNAM --- Beautification Day will be held at Rotary Park and volunteers are needed. Come between 8 and 8:30 a.m. for assignments; after cleanup, return to rotary Park by 11 and there’s an appreciation lunch between 11 a.m. and noon.
