Parade
PUTNAM --- The Memorial Day parade will begin at 9 a.m. from Grove Street and will be followed by a program at Rotary Park. There will be an exhibit on Putnam WWII veterans at Rotary Park.
 
Road Race
WOODSTOCK --- Woodstock Recreation will present the Woodstock Memorial Day 10K Road Race starting at 9 a.m. Race day registration is from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. at Woodstock Academy Fieldhouse Gym. $20 preregister by May 15. $25 after ay 16. A portion of proceeds will be donated to the Woodstock Fuel Assistance Program.
 
 
Memorial Day Parade
EASTFORD --- The Eastford Memorial Day Parade will begin at the Eastford Elementary School at 9:30 a.m. Immediately following the parade, a Memorial Day  Ceremony will be held at the Ivy Glenn Memorial. Memorial services and military salutes will be held at the General Lyon Cemetery at 8:30 a.m. and the Grove Cemetery at 9 a.m. All welcome.
 
Pomfret Parade
POMFRET --- The Town of Pomfret will be holding its annual Memorial Day Parade at 10 a.m. starting at the Abington Congregational Church, proceeding North down Route 97/Hampton Road, turning west onto Route 44 and ending at the Abington Cemetery where a wreath will be placed and observances take place.

Forest Walk
POMFRET --- The Pomfret Conservation Commission is sponsoring a walk at 10 a.m. in Chase Kimball Memorial Forest on 202 Wolf Den Rd. The walk is 1 mile round trip and is an easy walk.
