PUTNAM — Thomas Borner, president and CEO of Putnam Bank, presented a check for $2,000 to Susan Desrosiers, executive director of The Arc Quinebaug Valley, for The Arc’s Capital Campaign, which was started in 2012 to install an elevator at the agency. This is the fourth pledge payment of $2,000 that Putnam Bank has provided to The Arc for this campaign.  “Putnam Bank is pleased to support an organization in which, through their services and support, makes such a big difference in the lives of those living with disabilities within our community.” said Borner.
This gift from Putnam Bank will help to enhance services provided by The Arc. The success of this campaign specifically assures that all of our facilities are fully accessible to everyone.  This improvement has given The Arc Quinebaug Valley the ability to offer individualized programs and supports that will increase independence and the quality of life for individuals with disabilities into the future.
The Arc provides programs for individuals with intellectual, developmental and other life-affecting disabilities.  Vocational, residential, recreation, education, day and retirement services offer opportunities for people with disabilities to reach their goals and be integral members of their community.
“Thank you is such a simple phrase but means so much when conveyed from the heart.  The Arc Quinebaug Valley truly appreciates the generosity and continued support from Putnam Bank.” said Desrosiers.
