DANIELSON — Events at the RSVP Veterans Coffeehouse include: 
March 8,  9 a.m. – Mark Thompson, Connecticut Enrollment and Eligibility Coordinator and Patient Services manager, West Haven and Newington Veterans Administration facilities
March 8,  6 p.m. – Atty. Stephen Sutton, Elder Law:  wills, trusts, estate planning, avoiding probate court, powers of attorney. Public invited
March 9,  10 a.m. – Korean Ambassador’s Medal of Freedom ceremony.  Medals presented to 16 area veterans of the Korean War by Congressman Joe Courtney.  Public invited
Mark Thompson of the federal Veterans Administration will offer an explanation of benefits earned by veterans, discuss enrollment and transportation procedures, and other important points such as financial hardships faced by veterans, the means test, and compensation and pensions.
Atty. Sutton returns to address the evening Coffeehouse following his talk to a packed audience at the morning Coffeehouse in January.  He is available to meet privately with potential clients as well.
The RSVP Veterans Coffeehouse is pleased to host the 10 a.m. medals ceremony conducted by Congressman Joe Courtney to recognize veterans who served in Korea.  Recipients will be notified by Courtney’s office.  Refreshments will precede the ceremony.
