POMFRET — The Troop D Quality of Life Task Force Trooper and K9 Dutch arrested two men on drug charges after a stop Sept. 20 on Rt. 44.
Arrested were: David Hetu, 25, of 30 Cheney Road, Thompson; and Greg Raymond, 31, of 48 Woodstock Ave. Putnam.
Hetu was charged with possession of heroin and possession of heroin with intent to sell. Raymond was charged with possession of heroin.
According to police the trooper conducted a narcotic interdiction after stopping the car for failing to drive right. Police said Hetu appeared to “be extremely nervous and during the conversation Hetu said that he had heroin hidden in his boot.” The passenger and vehicle owner, Raymond,  also said that he had heroin in his pants pocket.  Police seized 77 folds of heroin.
