Arrested

Oct 25 the Putnam Police Dept. served an arrest warrant on Matthew Koivisto, 43, of 62 Chapman St., after an investigation of an armed robbery at Sunny Wine and Spirits on Mechanic Street on Aug. 30. Police said Koivisto is alleged to have entered the store brandishing a knife, taking cash and beer then fleeing in a white Dodge van. He was charged with Koivisto was charged with first-degree robbery and fifth-degree larceny.
