Rabies Clinic
DANIELSON --- Pet Pals Northeast, a local animal welfare organization, is holding a low cost rabies clinic from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Quinebaug Valley Veterinary Hospital, Rt. 12, Danielson/Plainfield town line.  No appointment necessary.  $12 cash per animal. Clean-up Day
PUTNAM --- The Nature Trail at Murphy Park will be the site of a cleanup in honor of Earth Day at 10 a.m. All are welcome at the entrance to the trail behind the old Armory on Wicker Street Putnam Nature Trail runs behind the elementary and middle schools along Little River and behind the football field. Sponsored by the Greater Putnam Interfaith Council with funding and support from The Last Green Valley and the Town of Putnam Recreation Department.  Food and refreshments will be served. The rain date is May 6.
 
Cleanup
DANIELSON --- The Quiet Corner Chapter of the New England Mountain Bike Association is holding its annual Earth Day Trail Work & Clean-up Day from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Wauregan Reservoir Quinebaug State Park. All welcome, including kids. The Chapter will provide pizza and refreshments for volunteers. Park at the boat launch at 45 Shepard Hill Road, where QC NEMBA will have a tent set up for check-in. They will provide tools, trash bags and other supplies, but encourage you to bring work gloves and trash picker/naber.

Presentations include: “10 Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse” (which answers the question “It’s the end of the world and hordes of rampaging zombies are about to kill you. What do you do?) and “13 Ways to Screw Up Your College Interview” (where each applicant's interview hilariously illustrates what NOT to do at a college interview.)  Students will also perform comedic musical numbers to tickle your funny bone.
