Invitation to Bid
The Town of Putnam is offering for sale a foreclosed property known as 28 Woodstock Avenue. The sale will be by written bids submitted to the Putnam Mayor’s office on or before the 4:00 p.m. on June 22, 2017. The sealed bids will be opened at the next selectmen’s meeting following the closure of the bid period. Said premises will be conveyed by the Town of Putnam by Quit Claim Deed with no representations as to either title to the property or the condition of the premises, but said premises shall be sold in strictly as-is condition without warranty of any kind. The Town of Putnam, acting by its Board of Selectmen, reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The successful bid, if approved by the Board of Selectmen, shall be subject to the normal approval process for the sale of real estate pursuant to the Town of Putnam Charter. Each bid, in order to be considered, shall be accompanied by a check payable to the Treasurer of the Town of Putnam in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid price. The check of the successful bidder will be deposited by the Town of Putnam and credited to the purchase price at closing. Should the successful bidder fail to close within 30 days of final Town approval, the bid deposit shall be forfeited to the Town as liquidated damages.
The subject premises shall be available for inspection for interested bidders on 15th day of June at 10:00 a.m. Anyone wishing to participate in the bidder’s inspection shall make arrangements through Mary Calorio at 860-963-6800, during normal business hours.

The Town of Putnam Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a meeting on June 14, 2017, at 7:00 P.M. at the Putnam Town Hall located at 126 Church Street, Putnam, CT.  A public hearing will be held on the following:
Appeal #2017: Rolgate, Inc. — Request for variances per Section 501.2 of the Town of Putnam Zoning Regulations for an increase of the total expansion (existing & proposed) from 55.9% to 58.2% and a reduction of the rear setback from 20’ to 1.5’ (an existing condition).  Property located at 146 Park Road, Town Assessor’s Map 45, Lot 18. Zoned Industrial.
