Doris E. Barrett
WOODSTOCK — Doris E. Barrett, 88, of Woodstock, died Aug. 2, 2017, at home. She was born on April 4, 1929, in Woodstock, daughter of the late Ethal and Estella (Frink) Barrett.
She graduated from Woodstock Academy, was an active member of the East Woodstock Congregational Church. Doris was employed in the office of Hyde Manufacturing for 32 years. She was a leader of Woodstock Woolies 4-H Sheep Club for 30 years, was advisor to the Windham County 4-H Fair and was a member of the Windham County 4-H Foundation. She was a life member of the Woodstock Agricultural Society, the Woodstock Historical Society and the Woodstock Theft Detecting Society.
She leaves her nieces Diane B. Morin (Todd) of Woodstock, Constance E. Kent (John) of Foster, R.I.; nephew David E. Barrett (Annie) of Sheldon, Wisc.; great-nieces and -nephews, Angela, Heather, Erica, Zachary, George, Katherine, Ashley, Samuel, Hollis; eight great-great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings, George W. Barrett (died in 1988), Barbara Barrett (died in 2014), sister-in-law Cecelia A. Barrett (died in 2003), and a great-nephew Christopher Barrett.

Sylvia Haythe
KILLINGLY --- Sylvia Haythe (Grimshaw), 85, of Killingly, died July 21, 2017, at Davis Place in Danielson. 
She was born on July 20, 1932,  in Danielson, daughter of the late Frank and Maria (Babbitt) Grimshaw.  
Sylvia was a self-employed baker. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, reading and music.
She leaves her children Dianne Henries of Rialto, Calif., and Crawford Haythe of Dayville; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brothers Michael Grimshaw and James Grimshaw

Susan Walker
PUTNAM — Susan “Suzy” Walker, 64, died unexpectedly June 30, 2017, at home.
Born on Sept. 20, 1952, in Putnam, she was the daughter of Daniel Walker Sr. and late Lucille Samuel (Tetreault).
Suzy enjoyed passing her time by drawing, coloring and writing. She loved wrestling and music. She really cherished the times playing chess with her grandson Morgan.
She leaves behind her son Morgan Walker Sr.; grandsons Morgan Jr. and Hunter; Jennifer Skeens who has always been like a daughter; two sisters Joy Webb (Terry) and Pamela Howard (Brad); brothers Philip, Daniel and Steven; nieces and nephews; dear friend Lisa Marquis and her cat Willow.

 

A Graveside service was July 18 in Grove Street Cemetery, Putnam. Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove St., Putnam.
