WILLIMANTIC — The Eastern Connecticut State University men’s and women’s cross country teams both had seasons to remember in fall 2017. Among the students who competed this year was Shai-Lin Gothreau ’21 of Putnam, who majors in criminology and sociology.
For the women, this was the first season in 25 years they placed in the top half of the NCAA Division III New England Regional Championship. The program also won its first LEC Championship this year. For the men, this was their fourth season in a row competing in the regionals, where the team put together a formidable performance.
