PUTNAM — Putnam resident David W. Coderre announced he’s a candidate for the 29th Senatorial District of Connecticut.
He is a 1988 graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in finance and business economics.  He  earned an MBA from DePaul University in Chicago.  He’s a 1984 graduate of Putnam High School. “The State of Connecticut has suffered through a severe economic crisis in the past decade.  I feel this is an opportunity, with my financial background, to bring a new perspective to the situation,” said Coderre. He was a currency options trader on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and was a senior lending officer at financial institutions in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.  He is currently the owner of Fast Pak, LLC in Putnam.
The official announcement of his candidacy is at 5:29 p.m. Feb. 28 at the Putnam Lodge of Elks on Edmond Street.  He will unveil his campaign goals that evening.  The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.
Coderre is the father of three teenage children, twins David II and Gabrielle and Benjamin.
