Putnam ties
By Shawn Bates
PUTNAM — The Clippers played host to the Tourtellotte Tigers Sept. 21 and came away with a tie.
For 80 minutes the Clippers controlled most of the play in the Tiger’s side.
Colby Livingston, a bright spot for the Clippers, saved 14 shots on goal. Livingston, a first-year soccer player, was a major factor in the game. Livingston known for his basketball and baseball skills can now add goalie to his resume. John Espinosa, Karson Bates and Jack Lomax kept up pressure on the offensive side, while Kyle Haynes ran down every striker the Tigers got past midfield. Haynes, now a senior, is the defense staple for the last two years for the Clippers.
