PUTNAM — The Putnam Business Association announced the 2019 Holiday Strolls Weekends, starting on Black Friday. Highlights include Giant Nutcrackers throughout Main Street, Magical Fairy Library is decorated for Christmas, refreshments and goodies in various stores, The Largest Gingerbread House in Putnam and Gingerbread Ball Gown in the Montgomery Ward Building. A Gingerbread Trail, in businesses along Main Street, will be open throughout.
Nov 29 – Dec 1 Holiday Stroll Star Cards will be available in the Montgomery Ward Building atrium. Earn stars from the stores you visit – get 5 or more stars and be entered for a chance to win a gift card Dec. 1. Drop entry in the collection box outside Skeeters Toy Box. Dec. 30 WINY will do a live broadcast from noon to 1.
Dec 6 – Dec 8 is gingerbread house and ugly sweater weekend. Walk the Gingerbread Trail at Main Street businesses. Dec. 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. is Kids Gingerbread House Making. Free. Pre-registration encouraged: https://pbadiscoverputnam. wufoo.com/forms/holiday-strolls-gingerbread-house-making/
Dec. 7 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. A Victorian St. Nick will stroll Main Street. Dec. 7 and 8, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. is the vote on the Gingerbread House Contest.
Dec 13 – Dec 15  is Stocking Stuffer Weekend. Stroll the Gingerbread Trail. And Dec. 14 Victorian St. Nick will stroll through downtown from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Dec 20 – Dec 22 is Procrastinators Weekend.
