DANIELSON — The Northeastern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce (NCCC) is sponsoring a free debate between the candidates running for the 29th Senatorial District at 6 p.m. Oct. 17 at Quinebaug Valley Community College in the Robert E. Miller auditorium.
Incumbent, Mae Flexer (D) and challenger John French (R) have both accepted the Chamber’s invitation.  Moderator for the program is Legislative Affairs Committee Chairman, H. Douglas Porter.
“It’s important that the general public and our membership, comprised of nearly 500 businesses from eastern Connecticut, have the opportunity to hear the candidates’ vision on issues affecting them. In addition, this debate will provide a platform for the Chamber to delve deeper into each candidates’ positions on behalf of our membership,” said Chamber President Rachael Johnston.
