Pomfret Community School fifth grader Evelyn Odden was recognized by the Pomfret Volunteer Fire Department. She was given a T-shirt and a plaque: “In recognition of your quick thinking and presence of mind to go and get a fire extinguisher, bring it to your babysitter and to help her extinguish a fire that you had noticed burning on the deck of your home on September 12, 2016.
