PUTNAM — Putnam Science Academy’s football team delivered a commanding performance against Western Connecticut State University, securing a 49-7 victory through a balanced combination of offensive firepower and defensive prowess. PSA’s defense set the tone early, with Antwonne Blue making a major impact by snagging two interceptions, one of which he returned for a touchdown. Lucas Theriaque added to the defensive scoring with a pick-six of his own, while Dylan Gray also contributed an interception, stifling Western Connecticut’s offensive attempts throughout the game. On the offensive side, Nayjean Holley powered through for a 35-yard rushing touchdown, showcasing his speed and agility. Josiah Joyner added another rushing touchdown, strengthening PSA’s ground attack. Quarterback Ben Roden threw three touchdowns, all connecting with Anthony Phillipo.
