Soccer teams make progress mid-season
PUTNAM — As the fall season continues, Putnam Science Academy’s Varsity and Prep soccer teams have shown impressive dedication and resilience on the field. Both teams have faced strong competition and have demonstrated skill and teamwork, according to their coach.
The Varsity squad holds a balanced record of 4 wins and 4 losses, while the Prep team has achieved 3 wins, 2 losses, and 2 ties. The Split team also stands at 1 win and 1 loss, contributing to PSA’s competitive season overall.
Prep Team at Woodstock Showcase
At the recent Woodstock Showcase, PSA Prep faced two challenging matches. In their game against Pennington, the team fell 5-1, with standout player Pedro Rosa scoring the lone goal. In their next match, PSA Prep put up a strong fight against Vermont, finishing in a thrilling 4-4 tie. Pedro Rosa and Hugh Copley each contributed a goal, while Mario Camacho netted two goals to round out the score.
