Cold didn’t chill club's fund-raising
PUTNAM — Dec. 7 was chilly, but that didn’t stop the Putnam Rotary Club’s Interact Club members and their friends from enthusiastic bell ringing for the local Salvation Army office.
The kettles took in $2, 318 on Saturday, making the grand total $6,160.
Interact Club Adviser Roberta Rocchetti said “We’re doing pretty well so far.”
The club thanked student volunteers from Tourtellotte Memorial High School: Dylan Axtell, Calleigh Levesque, Tanisha Patel, June Ferraro, Serena Smith, Joshua Tackson, Tyler Shead and Grace Akana. From Woodstock Academy: Miranda Miller, Eli Susi, Anthony Beaudreault, Avery Thienel, Jackie Dearborn, Phoebe Griffin, Mikayla Bessette, Ivan Lin, Emma Quinney, Grace Pokorny, Celine Leffingwell, Melanie Dipippo, Lillian Morgis and Avery Plouffe. From Putnam High: Makenzel Fry and Maddy Kimball. From Marianapolis: Devi Patel-Gandhi, Emma Martineau, Henrietta Hayes. The club also thanked adults: Claudia Ursin, Donna Drasch, Edit DiPippo and Rotaract members: Matthew and Harrison Gardiner and John Spratt. Rotarians who helped include: Kayla Morin, Marc Archambault, Jonathan Tremblay, Mike and Roberta Rocchetti.
There’s still time to help the club raise money for the local Salvation Army! You will find Interact Club members and their friends on Saturday, Dec. 14 and Dec. 21 at these Putnam stores: Stop & Shop, Walmart, Price Chopper and Putnam Supermarket.
