DANIELSON --- The Danielson/Brooklyn Rotary will hold present its 1st Annual Spring Soccer Clinic hosted and presented by former UConn All-American and 1981 NCAA National Championship team member Bill Morrone, with a special guest appearance by former “Hall of Fame” UConn Head Soccer coach Joe Morrone.
It will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 3 at Killingly Intermediate School.
Pre-registration is encouraged, and same-day registration will also be available from 9 to 9:3o a.m. This clinic starts at 9:30 a.m. Players need to come dressed to play, according to weather conditions, including shin pads. $25 per player, or parent, or coach. $20 per player for two players from the same family. $15 per player for three or more players from the same family. All players will receive a T-shirt and a soccer ball. All checks are to be made payable to: the “Danielson Rotary”. Contact Bill Morrone directly at 860-234-1110.
All-American Bill Morrone will conduct an outside soccer clinic covering the “The Basic Ball Skills of Soccer,” and Joe Morrone will conduct a simultaneous indoor “Basics of Coaching” clinic for parents, and soccer coaches in the auditorium.
