Putnam Science Academy’s TaQuan Zimmerman represented the town of Putnam very well this past weekend. PSA’s TaQuan Zimmerman had strong performance for team South as he has all year long for PSA. Zimmerman finished the game with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists but it was not enough as team North won in overtime 109-106. Zimmerman had a shot to tie the game with 9 seconds left but the shot fell short.
The top public and prep seniors in New England gathered in Springfield, Mass., on March 21 for the All-Star Challenge. Fans from all over New England gathered at Springfield College to see future college basketball stars in their final high school game.
Zimmerman is still undecided what his plans will be next year as several coaches waited after the game to talk to him.
Zimmerman, from Waterbury, averaged 26.6 ppg, 8.3 rpg and 6.3 apg for the 17-5 Mustangs this season.
