THOMPSON --- May 2 Marianapolis Preparatory School will host a 5k Run for Haiti. Organized by Marianapolis’ Haiti Club. The race will take place on Marianapolis’ picturesque cross country course. Runners and walkers of all fitness levels are welcome! Proceeds will benefit the Forward in Health Medical Clinic in Les Cayes, Haiti (www.forwardinhealth.org).
The race begins at 10 a.m. Entry fees are $15 for those who pre-register by April 9, and $20 on race day. Race T-shirts will be given to the first 200 registered runners.
Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female overall, as well as 1st male and female in each age category.
