WOODSTOCK --- Hyde School is exporting its success to Brooklyn, N.Y. The Hyde Leadership Public Charter School, Brooklyn, will open its doors in September.
The new school will serve 66 kindergartners, 66 first-graders and their families, with annual growth anticipated to grade 5 in five years. 
Applications for enrollment are available and registration remains open.
Hyde’s total enrollment is projected to be 132 students on opening day.
The Hyde School approach to education has been developed since 1966 at Hyde boarding campuses in Bath, Maine, and Woodstock  and through public school initiatives in New Haven, Washington, D.C., and Bronx, N..Y.
The organization, based in Bath, also includes national parent workshops and teacher trainings.
Dr. Sandra DuPree has been named Executive Director of the newest Hyde School.
DuPree comes to Hyde-Brooklyn with 15 years of  experience in Washington, D.C. and New York City Public Schools as a teacher, principal, professor of education and consultant.
