Play Rehearsal
Is he dead? Ten students at Putnam High School are busy rehearsing a humorous play that will be presented to the public at 7 p.m. April 30 and May 1. Written by Mark Twain, “Is He Dead” is the hilarious story of a struggling artist who decides to fake his own death to increase the value of his paintings and avoid bankruptcy. But, disguised as his own twin sister, he soon finds that pretending to be a woman is creating problems that he hadn’t planned on. The cast includes Craig Mortensen, Julia Lombardo, Edward Partlow, Mike Baxter, Eleanor Prunier, Brittany Burke, Leslie Prunier, Brianna King, Sawyer Thull, and Doug Wood. The play is being directed by Will Child who also directed last year’s entertaining “Arsenic & Old Lace.” Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for students. For information 860-928-5551.
