Lupien honored
WORCESTER --- Assumption College has named Sarah Ambacher as valedictorian and Leslie Lupien as salutatorian of the Class of 2010. Lupien from Pomfret Center is a biology major with a minor in sociology. Lupien was a four-year member of both the Assumption College Women’s basketball team and the College’s Honors Program. She has served as the secretary and women’s basketball team representative on Assumption’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee for three years. As a student, Lupien has worked to raise money for research into the causes and prevention of cancer and muscular dystrophy. She also supported the Massachusetts Special Olympics, and worked for the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp’s Hospital Outreach Program. This fall, she will train to be a triathelete, as she looks forward to a career in science and medical research.
Sarah Ambacher from Blackstone is an accounting major with a minor in theology.
