PUTNAM ---  The Theatre of Northeastern Connecticut at the Bradley Playhouse will present "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs"  like you’ve never seen it before. The script, written by Jessie Braham White, comes alive through the eyes of director Jennifer Magrey, who is channeling The Grimm Brothers’ original, dark tale.
The show runs at 7 p.m. June 18, 19, 25 and 26 and at 2 p.m. June 20 and 27 at the playhouse on Front Street. Tickets are $16 for adults and $13 for seniors and students. Sarah Hart stars as the beautiful and innocent Snow White, who is sent away by her insanely vain stepmother, Queen Brangomar, portrayed by Lida Roman. The jealous Queen has a small army to help in ridding the world of Snow White. Witch Hex played by Sharon Starr, is an old crone on the brink of retirement. Also employed are Sir Dandiprat Bombas, a bumbling chamberlain played Ian Matthew Harrington and the queen’s truehearted huntsman Berthold, portrayed by Real Carpentier. When Snow White finds herself lost and alone in the forest, she stumbles upon a small cottage inhabited by seven dwarfs. The story unfolds in classic form with twists and turns along the way. In the end all is saved by true love’s kiss from Prince Florimond, played by Michael Gleason.  Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is directed by Jennifer Magrey with Nicholas Magrey serving as both assistant director and producer. Kathleen Lundy stage manages the production and Debra Leigh Siegel designed the set and the lighting. The costumes were designed by Kathy Schora.
