Legal Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of the Town and Fire District of Pomfret that the First Installment of taxes on the Grand List of October 1, 2009, is DUE AND PAYABLE July 1, 2010. The last day to pay without penalty is August 2, 2010. Interest will be charged at 18% annually (1.5% per month) on all delinquent payments postmarked August 3, 2010, or later.
Make all checks payable to Pomfret Tax Collector. Mail payments to P. O. Box 286, Pomfret Center, CT 06259. If a receipt is desired, please enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope. For more information or to pay online, go to www.pomfretct.org.
The Tax Office is open during the month of July on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Wednesday 8:30 – 6:00 p.m. We are closed on Fridays. If you have any questions, the tax office phone number is 860-974-0394. T

Town of Putnam WPCA
Water/Sewer Collections
The July 2010 billing of water and / or sewer taxes for the Town of Putnam WPCA is due and payable on July 1, 2010 through August 2, 2010.
Payments made after August 2, 2010 will be subject to an Interest charge of 3% (1.5% per month) or $ 2.00 minimum whichever is higher, according to Connecticut State Statue SEC. 12-146.
Mail must be postmarked no later than August 2, 2010, to avoid interest charges.

The first installment of taxes, due to the Town of Putnam, Special Service District and West Putnam District on the Grand List of October 1, 2009 is due and payable on July 1, 2010 through August 2, 2010.
TO AVOID INTEREST CHARGES, MAIL MUST BE POSTMARKED NO LATER THAN AUGUST 2, 2010.
Payments made after August 2nd, 2010 will be subject to an interest charge of 3% (1.5% per month) or $2.00 minimum per Town and $2.00 per Special Service District and District 3 (where applicable), whichever is higher, according to Connecticut State Statute, Sec. 12-146.
Online payments can be made on current Grand List bills at the Town of Putnam website at www.putnamct.us after July 1, 2010.

Services District
The Putnam Special Services District is accepting sealed bids for labor and materials to complete renovations to approximately 700 sq. ft. of office space. Bid specifications and work drawings are available upon request at Putnam Police Headquarters. Interested bidders must schedule a meeting and site visit to qualify. All bids must be received at Police Headquarters 189 Church Street Putnam CT 06260 prior 3 p.m. on Friday August 6th 2010. Bids must be received in sealed envelopes (marked "Renovation Bids Phase1").
