Putnam Bank was a major sponsor of the recent Day Kimball Healthcare’s 7th Annual Cruisin’ for Cancer Care event. This year’s event raised $9,000 to benefit the Day Kimball Healthcare Deary Memorial Cancer Fund, bringing the total proceeds raised from Cruisin’ for Cancer Care to more than $71,000 over its seven years of existence as an annual event. Putnam Bank Chairman and CEO Thomas A. Borner, right, and board member Jitendra ‘Jay’ Sinha, left, joined the nearly 150 participants on a motorcycle ride throughout northeast Connecticut in support of this worth cause. “Putnam Bank is a proud to support the Day Kimball Healthcare Deary Memorial Cancer Fund as it helps the communities we serve in the fight against cancer,” said Borner. “I can’t think of a better way to spend a summer Sunday than taking a ride on a Harley and helping the community at the same time.”
